Carmel Myles

Carmel has worked as a psychologist in the public and private sectors for the past 18 years at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Sydney Clinic (Private Psychiatric Hospital) and in private practice at Bondi Junction. Carmel has extensive experience in the psychological assessment, treatment and counselling of individuals and group therapy. Carmel has worked in a broad range of areas including; anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural problems, eating disorders and obesity, body image, self-esteem and addiction.

Carmel has a special interest in treating obesity and has worked as a Psychologist at Metabolism and Obesity Services, Department of Endocrinology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Carmel also conducted research in the treatment of obesity at the University of Sydney and at the Metabolism and Obesity Services that was presented at conferences for the Australasian Society for the Study of Obesity and at the International Congress of Applied Psychology.
